MEET THE SISTER DUO GIVING THE HAMPTONS A WHOLE NEW VIEW: OUT EAST FROM ABOVE

The Hamptons have never looked quite like this. Just in time for summer, Out East from Above is a gorgeous new book of aerial photography celebrating the charm, beauty, and local gems of the South Fork—from Montauk to Sag Harbor. Created by sister duo Lainey Stewart and Kaeley Michaelson, two longtime East Enders with deep roots and great taste, the book blends stunning drone shots with local tips, personal stories, and a dose of nostalgia. A visual love letter to the Hamptons seen from the sky, this photo-driven book offers a bird’s-eye look at the beaches, boardwalks, and best-kept secrets from Montauk to Bridgehampton.

It all started with Lainey’s drone camera. She began noticing just how magical their favorite spots looked from above. The sisters—who’ve been coming out East since they were babies—decided to pair those photos with local lore, family stories, and the kind of recs only true insiders would know. The result? A coffee table stunner packed with personal charm, playful nostalgia, and Hamptons local intel. “We’re always the ones friends text when they’re headed to Montauk asking where to go,” the sisters say. “This book is basically that conversation—plus a drone.”

The aesthetic is elevated, too, with a luxe embossed cover, and the kind of binding that looks fabulous on your shelf. It’s the perfect gift for houseguests, weekenders, or yourself. Out East from Above will be available locally at BookHampton, Homeport, and Hero Beach Club starting April 28th. Keep an eye out for an upcoming book signing at the Parrish Art Museum’s Community Day—details are still under wraps, but it’s happening this summer.

Whether you’re a lifelong local or a city transplant who just found your favorite farm stand, this book taps into the magic we all feel out here. And the best part? It was made with love, from above!
