KDHamptons: How long have you been coming to the Hamptons? Why do you love it so much out here?

MJ Pedone: I have been coming to the Hamptons since I was a child.  I love the pristine beaches, lush vineyards, virgin farms, charity events, intimate house parties, Bridgehampton Polo and spending time with my dear friends and family.  Living and working in Manhattan can be very trying at times and going out to the beautiful east end can make any New Yorker feel at peace.

KDHamptons: Please describe your business for our readers?

MJ Pedone: I have the privilege of being a publicist for some of the most recognized names in sports, entertainment, nonprofits, and brands in the world.  I create story angles and pitch top-tier media publications and TV networks to make sure their story is front and center.  Additionally, I work very closely with nonprofit organizations and athletes and produce red carpet high-profile events in order to raise funds and awareness for their causes.  Also, I co-host my own weekly radio show, Live With MJ, where I interview celebrities, sports figures and industry leaders about their professional careers, family life and social responsibility.  I’m a ghostwriter for the Impact section of the Huffington Post for my notable clients.  Did I mention I’m a mother of a 5 year old as well? ☺

KDHamptons: Do you have any events planned for summer 2015 in the Hamptons that you can share?

MJ Pedone: We are planning several intimate business networking/fundraising events for a few of our clients.  These events will offer CEOs from different industries, which include entertainment, law, finance and real estate, the ability to discuss their expertise and meet like-minded high net-worth individuals who they can potentially do business with.  We are also hosting a celebrity golf tournament, which will raise funds for children’s education. All exciting happenings!

KDHamptons: How would you describe your perfect Hamptons day?

MJ Pedone: This is a tough question because I have so many perfect Hamptons days which consist of doing many different things.  With that said, one of my perfect days is when I wake up, go for a run on the beach or take a spin class at the Sag Harbor Gym or a class at Exhale.  Then I come home and have breakfast outside with my husband and son overlooking the water.  In the afternoon, I may head to a friend’s house on the beach or head out on a boat/yacht and watch the sunset at of course, Sunset Beach just in time to get back and head to an event or a beautiful dinner.  Ending the night by coming back home and relaxing in my husband’s arms.

KDHamptons: What is your favorite Hamptons restaurant? Got a favorite dish & drink you get every time?

MJ Pedone: My favorite restaurant is Nick and Tony’s and my husband and I actually had our intimate wedding reception there.  Needless to say, I’m a big fan of their diverse menu. Majority of times, I order the fresh catch of the day since I eat mostly fish.  I will always pick off of somebody else’s plate, so at this point, I basically tried everything, which is so incredibly delicious.  I can’t resist their homemade Tartufo which is made with Caramel Truffle, Chocolate & Hazelnut Gelato and Almond Biscotti Crumbs.  Delicious!

KDHamptons: Is there an event or party you look forward to each summer?

MJ Pedone: This is another tough question to answer because there are just so many events and parties that you need your own social coordinator to handle it.  Of course, I enjoy all of the events that I host whether it may be a golf tournament or fundraising event but I do enjoy going to Dan’s Taste of Two Forks, God’s Love We Deliver, Ann Liguori Charity Golf Classic, Super Saturday, Bridgehampton Polo, Artists & Writers, Hamptons Film Festival, Wolffer Estate, to name a few.
