MOHALA EYEWEAR: SUNGLASSES FOR THE BRIGHT FUTURE AHEAD
Check out this fab new company I recently discovered! Mohala Eyewear founder Ashley Johnson has designed a line of frames to address different face shapes, nose bridges, cheekbones, and long lashes. Whether you have a round, oval, square-shaped face, higher or lower nose bridge Mohala eyewear has a pair made just for you. The frames are made of hypoallergenic premium acetate. The lenses are UV400 and scratch-resistant so toss them into your beach bag or work tote. And the best news? They are super chic as well!
Johnson shares, “Most eyewear in the U.S. is designed to fit one kind of face. The eyewear industry uses a Caucasian nose bridge and slender face shape when designing eyewear. And then there is no scaling up to offer more sizes. We studied eyewear designed in other countries and found various nose bridge designs, temple lengths and frame front widths to fit all face shapes. Mohala (in the Hawaiian language means to blossom and to be free).”
SUNGLASSES FOR THE BRIGHT FUTURE AHEAD
KDHamptons loves that every Mohala Eyewear purchase sends a girl to school for one week through the Room to Read Girls’ Education Program. Room to Read is an organization dedicated to empowering girls through education and operates in ten countries across Asia and Africa. They work with more than 18,000 program schools and have reached 10 million children. There are more than 40,000 girls enrolled in the Girls’ Education program. “Hopefully, Mohala frames can make you feel comfortable and confident on the outside and strong on the inside for empowering girls then our mission is accomplished,” shares Johnson.
