Mouthwatering Caliche Rum Recipes from Rande Gerber
KDHamptons is always looking for new summer cocktail recipies to spice up a holiday party. We scored these delicious new drink recipes from Rande Gerber and Roberto Serrallés who launched CALICHE RUM, a rum six generations in the making and exclusively from the Serrallés Family Distillery – the birthplace of premium Puerto Rican rum!
Here’s how to put some kick in your holiday party!
Cali Gold
Ingredients:
2 oz Caliche Rum
1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
1/4 oz Fresh Pineapple Juice
¾ oz Simple Syrup
In a rocks glass, combine all ingredients and lightly muddle Cilantro
leaves. Top with crushed ice or preferably nugget ice. Garnish with a
cilantro spring.
Cali Velvet
Ingredients:
1 1/2oz Caliche
1 1/2 oz Pineapple juice
1 oz Orange juice.
1/2 oz Lime juice.
1/2 oz Velvet Falernum.
Lime Wedge
In a cocktail shaker combine all ingredients, fill with ice and shake.
Strain over ice in a highball glass.
Garnish with a fresh lime wedge.
Ingredients:
2 oz Caliche Rum
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
1/2 oz Sugar Cane Syrup
1 Maraschino Cherry
1 Orange Wedge
Mix sugar cane syrup and angostura bitters in an old-fashioned glass. Drop in a cherry and an orange wedge. Muddle into a paste using a muddler or the back end of a spoon. Pour in the Caliche Rum, fill with ice cubes, and stir for at least 10 seconds or until well chilled. Garnish with a orange twist and a cherry.
