NEW KDHamptons Cocktail Recipe: The Maple Shade Gin Spritz
Summer’s nearly here so it’s time to create some delicious new signature cocktails for my events and the houseguests I will be hosting this season. I recently came up with a refreshing NEW KDHamptons cocktail recipe I named The Maple Shade Gin Spritz (after our Hamptons home). It’s such a simple recipe anyone can make it with just a few ingredients.
The base of the recipe is equal parts Mionetto Prosecco DOC Organic Extra Dry and Bombay Sapphire London Dry Gin. Mionetto Prosecco Organic is a recently launched sparkling wine made from grapes cultivated without usage of chemical product nor synthetic fertilizers, and merges delicate fragrances of acacia blossoms. The Prosecco boasts strong tastes of golden apple, pineapple and orange which I play off of in the recipe. The flavoring of the Bombay Sapphire Gin comes from a recipe of ten ingredients: almond, lemon peel, liquorice, juniper berries, orris root, angelica, coriander, cassia, cubeb, and grains of paradise.
Simply pour equal parts of the prosecco and gin in a cocktail shaker of ice and shake. Pour into a tumbler, top off with a splash of San Pellegrino Aranciata sparkling orange drink, or fresh squeezed orange juice. Garnish with an orange slice and serve.
