NEW KDHamptons Party Diary: Jeremy Penn's LE SEDUCTION DE GLAMOUR
On Friday, June 26th, The Montauk Beach House celebrated the work of artist Jeremy Penn by showcasing his newest collection Le Seduction de Glamour. The New York City artist packed up his studio in Brooklyn and headed east for an art residency in Montauk this summer. His work, located in the main lobby, features special portraits of New York’s famed fashion icons such as Anna Wintour, Gigi Hadid and new pieces from his iconic hotlips collection starring Brigitte Bardot.
Penn was born in New York City and studied Fine Art at both the University of Maryland and Pratt Institute. His works have been exhibited internationally and received honors from curators at museums such as The Museum of Modern Art, New York and The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. Penn’s work explores the initial feelings of a single gaze and the deconstruction of that moment in time. With a heavy emphasis on his subject’s eyes, he creates a seductive power play between the viewer and the art. [PSST!
