Casamigos Tequila founders Rande Gerber and Michael Meldman threw their first “Dia De Los Muertos” Halloween party on Friday night in Los Angeles. Upon arrival to Meldman’s home, guests participated in the famous “Casamigos ice shot” by taking a shot of Casamigos out of ice made shot glasses and throwing the empty glass at a bell hanging in the entryway. Guests including: David Spade, Ron Burkle, Jeff Probst, Molly Sims and Scott Stuber, The Insider’s Thea Andrews and party co-host Rachel Zalis all took a “shot” at hitting the bell. Meldman and Gerber launched Casamigos in January with Gerber’s best friend George Clooney. Named for Gerber and Clooney’s adjacent homes in Mexico, the brand has become the most popular and fastest growing tequila in the world, now available in over 45 states across the country. Cindy & Rande’s home, “Casamigos”, is currently featured in a multi-page spread on the cover of the November issue of Architectural Digest, now on stands.

Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford arrived as Axl Rose and Slash, Leonardo Dicaprio wore a black cape covering his face and arrived with close pal Lukas Haas, Cuba Gooding Jr. appeared to be dressed as Rande Gerber, wearing jeans and a Casamigos t-shirt and leather jacket, Larry David and his producer buddy Bradley Thomas wore the same XXXL cardigan sweater together and walked around as Siamese twins.

Other Hollywood Halloweeners in full costume attire included: Alessandra Ambrosio, Brody Jenner, David Arquette, Derek Hough, Hillary Duff, Jeremy Piven, John Stamos, Kate Upton, Michelle Trachtenberg, Ryan Seacrest, Sascha Baron Cohen and Isla Fischer, Sean Penn, Stephanie Pratt, Tim Allen, and Wayne Gretzky.

Other notable attendees included: Hollywood legend Jerry Weintruab, WME Co-CEO Patrick and Lauren Whitesell, Irena and Mike Medavoy and Angela and David Nazarian. Those not in costume included comedians Chelsea Handler and Aziz Ansari, wearing a sweater. Decor elements were influenced by Casamigos co-founder, Rande Gerber. Guests partied in an environment featuring custom painted skulls, gravestones, a photo-booth with oversize skull backdrop and shrines honoring the dead.

Signature cocktails including the Mi Casa, Su Casa, Cali Gold and Cali Daiquiri from Meldman, Gerber and Clooney’s award winning Casamigos Tequila were served at the party, along with a variety of cocktails from Gerber’s award winning premium white rum, Caliche. All served over a custom built Casamigos bar, made from reconditioned Casamigos barrels. Try out these recipes at your Halloween party!

SU CASA

1 ½ oz. Casamigos Reposado Tequila

3 oz. Grapefruit soda
½ oz.

Fresh lime juice

Method: Pour over ice

Garnish: Lime Wedge

MI CASA

1 ½ oz. Casamigos Blanco Tequila

1 oz. Fresh lime juice

¼ oz. Fresh orange juice

½ oz. Agave nectar

Method: Shake ingredients with ice then strain and serve on the rocks.

Garnish: Orange Wedge
