In celebration of his new book, Inventive Minimalism: The Architecture of Roger Ferris + Partners, Roger Ferris held a special gathering at The Bridge in Bridgehampton, New York on August 4, 2016. The design of the clubhouse at The Bridge and its resulting forms and orientations are a direct outgrowth of Roger’s sustainable design intentions. Inventive Minimalism showcases simple geometric forms and sustained explorations of layering planes to bound space and permit light, and the clubhouse at The Bridge certainly exemplifies these design techniques.

Notable figures in the design world including: Mohsen Mostafavi, Dean of the Harvard Graduate School of Design, attended the event in support of Roger’s book. Robert Wilson, Robert Rubin, Anne Chaisson, Mark & Marissa Borghi, and Roger & Wendy Ferris were also present for the celebration. Guests enjoyed dramatic sunset views overlooking the Peconic Bay and the exclusive golf course at The Bridge.
