Gimme Shelter Animal Rescue is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that believes every animal’s life is worth saving, regardless of breed, age, special needs or medical condition. Their special foster program is truly unique and allows GSAR to assess the personality and specific needs of each dog prior to adoption to ensure the best furever home is found for each one. GSAR’s mission is to rescue animals who are destined for euthanasia in high kill facilities across the country.

GSAR’s goal is to provide all medical care needed to ensure the overall health of every single dog they rescue and make sure they get adopted to families who will love and cherish them as treasured family members. Dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped prior to adoption. Through their very successful adoption program, GSAR finds fosters for each dog and works tirelessly to screen for loving forever homes. GSAR is currently raising funds to acquire a mobile adoption van which will allow the organization to save more deserving animals. “Saving one dog won’t change the world…but surely the world will change for that one dog.”
