October is Adopt a Shelter Dog Month! Meet 4 Furry Friends Looking for a Home
October is Adopt A Shelter Dog Month at the Southampton Animal Shelter!
SASF is waiving adoption fees for all Patient Pooches who have been here more than 90 days. Over the past two years, KDHamptons has helped aid in the adoption of many dutiful dogs and compassionate cats at the Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation, most recently, Carmen the adorable blue nosed pitbull that I fostered at my home. I am so thrilled to share that she has found a permanent home in Brooklyn and now has a sister pit!
We hope you might consider adopting one of the loving animals featured this week~ what better gift is there than to save a life? The Southampton Animal Shelter has been working nonstop to show these animals a lot of love~ bathing them, holding them, and spreading the word to help find them a home. [pssst! If the timing isn’t right for you to adopt now, you can also make a donation to underwrite one of the shelter pet’s cage care as well].
I thank you for your help! xx KDH

Bertha [above] is a Patient Pooch having been at the shelter more than 90 days. She is a 2 1/2 year old boxer mix with a mile of a smile! She can be shy at first but you can warm up to each other together! Maybe she’ll share her toys with you!
Hilltopper is a 2 year old pit bull whose owners lost their home. This Patent pooch is one of our Patient Pets having been here for over 90 days. He is also one of the staff favorites. Hilltopper would do well in an active household with older teens. He likes other dogs to play with and his passion is people and playing soccer! If you’re looking for a dog full of energy and light and can also “bend it like Beckham”, Hilltopper is your guy!
Precious is a lab mix pup who came to the shelter as a stray. She already knows how to sit and give her paw! This smart little girl is ready to bond with her new loving family.
Not to be out-hopped, I also want to feature Sid, who is one of 3 friendly rabbits at the shelter. He is a neutered male about 4 years old. Sid is friendly and loves to take treats out of your handl!
