KDHamptons Exclusive Photo Diary: Sunset Boating To Shelter Island With Navy Beach Owner Leyla Marchetto!
KDHamptons Montauk correspondent Leyla Marchetto [above] took a day off from running her hotspot restaurant, Navy Beach, to spend a day boating with her husband, Franklin and their friends on the Heron. With a camera and a glass of rose in hand, Leyla shares her diary from the day with KDHamptons readers below:
We boarded the Heron at the Montauk Yacht Club….
Captain Shannon McLellan (Cameron’s wife and co-captain on the Heron. They got married at the Montauk Yacht Club this past November :)) Preparing Chandon ice buckets to keep our glasses chilled en route while lounging on their white marine bean bags!

Shannon’s fully stocked bar for the day was a hit!

We jumped into the water for a swim before hitting Sunset Beach for late afternoon cocktails and nibbles…
Katie diving right in! We saw a good friend of mine Anthony Coppers at Sunset Beach – he was on the white sailboat in the background [below] with a bunch of his guy friends, getting ready for a wedding this coming Saturday!
We anchored the Heron off Sunset Beach and swam before heading in to shore for a bite to eat and sunset cocktails…
