KDHamptons Readers: join in as we continue our relationship with the Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation (SASF) in posting features dedicated to showcasing compassionate cats and devoted dogs that are available for adoption on the East End.

The SASF is an organization in the Hamptons devoted to the welfare of animals and to reduce the number of homeless pets. As they do not turn their backs on animals who need their help, let’s not turn ours and lend a helping hand in finding homes for the holidays for Esmerelda and Whiskey!

Esmerelda is a 3 year old Jack Russell /Hound mix. She is very intelligent, gets along with other dogs and loves people. She likes living the life of luxury lounging about in big, cushy beds and she deserves it!

Whiskey is a very handsome 3 year old tiger cat who has been at the shelter for 2 years. He hangs out in the Cattery with the other felines in the hopes of finding a home. He loves the young cats to play with and once he gets to know you, he will give you a special kiss. After a bad day, you can come home to a little “Whiskey” to warm your heart and make your day a little brighter!

Psst…KDH Readers! A quick update: cats-Chewie (featured in last week’s Pet Rescue post) William & Harry and Miss Kitty were all adopted along with dogs, Priscilla and Maxie! What wonderful news!
