With the Labor Day weekend behind us and the Fall weather slowly sneaking in, the end of Summer is officially here. The Hamptons Summer of 2025 was filled with fabulous events, long beach days, plenty of pop-ups, and endless evenings at our favorite restaurants. One of the restaurants that KDHampton’s is not ready to leave behind in the Summer season, is LDV at The Maidstone Hotel.

Located on the famed Main Street of East Hampton, is The Maidstone;  an iconic boutique hotel with decades of Hamptons history. The hotel has been a well-loved destination in the local community for over 150 years. Recently reopening under the wings of LDV Hospitality, the historic district hotel is now infusing a hint of La Dolce Vita into the heart of the East End.

Not only does The Maidstone provide incomparable access to some of Long Island’s most exclusive beaches, luxurious shopping and sought-after Hamptons scene, but it also offers a 10/10 dining experience. The Restaurant boasts an Italian inspired menu with options that you can not go wrong with ordering. The KDHamptons team enjoyed several of the items from the Raw Bar such as the Yellowtail Crudi and the Mediterranean Sea Bass Carpaccio, both of which were fresh and delicious. For mains, we dined on the Branzino and the Spaghetti Alla Nerano which was embarrassingly enough, plate-licking-good.

It’s not just the food at The Maidstone that makes it one of our favorites but also the quaint and luxe ambiance. The outdoor seating is located within the garden, providing an intimate and tranquil escape from the typical bustling culinary scene in the Hamptons. You can experience the elegance and relaxed atmosphere of Italy without ever leaving East Hampton.

An insider tip from the KDHamptons team is to grab a post-meal cocktail and find a lounge-seat further into the garden for the perfect Hamptons gossip chat. Additionally, be sure to visit the charming cottage nestled in the garden. This delightful lodge hosts a variety of pop-ups, with the Tata Harper shop currently in residence.
