Social Primer’s K. Cooper Ray to Debut Solo Collection during New York Fashion Week
The founder and designer of Social Primer, K. Cooper Ray [blogger of “all things gentlemanly”, will debut his first solo collection outside of Brooks Brothers at the University Club at a presentation on September 7, during New York Fashion Week.
The new collection will feature Cooper’s trademark reversible bow ties in his signature color combinations that have been hailed as the perfect pairing of preppy classic with a modern twist! In addition, this presentation will mark the debut of the new two-tone long ties and blazer collection.
K. Cooper Ray was born in Montgomery and is a thirteenth generation Southerner, and a seventh generation Alabaman. He served as Vice President of Bottega Veneta and Ambassador of Dom Perignon before launching SocialPrimer.com in 2008.
Ray has been featured in Vanity Fair, GQ, Town & Country, Elle, Marie Claire, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and Los Angeles Times. Cooper has lived in New York City, Milan, Italy, Cape Cod, Los Angeles and now Charleston, South Carolina.
The Social Primer by K. Cooper Ray collection will be presented at The University Club from noon until 2 pm and is invitation only. The presentation will be followed by an invite only reception later in the evening.
Cooper was recently chosen one of Angeleno Magazines’ Top Ten Men of Style. He is the author of the Manhattan society satire Last Night at Moomba and The Bill of Rites for the American Man.
