The Conservatory of Ballet and Danse Arts invites KDHamptons readers to their annual production of the timeless holiday classic “THE NUTCRACKER”. From the moment the curtains part, you will transported to a fantastic world of magic and dance. Join Clara as she goes on a magical journey from her family holiday party, through fierce battles and swirling snowflakes, to the exotic Kingdom of the Sweets where dreams come to life and magic is real. With brilliant sets, amazing effects, dazzling costumes and spectacular dancing, “THE NUTCRACKER” is sure to enchant audiences of all ages.

Danse Arts showcases the depth and range of their young company with choreography by Megan Callahan and assist from Betteanne Terrell. From the young children of the school to the principal dancers of the company “THE NUTCRACKER” is a time for promising dancers to shine. This year 3 principal dancers will debut in the premiere role of the Sugar Plum Fairy. Melanie Schwagerl of East Hampton, Kristian Washburn of Sag Harbor and Jade Kalbacher of Southampton will trade off the leading role, as well as dancing in other solos throughout the performance. They will be partnered by Leonel Linares, a professional dancer from New York City who has danced with Us for the Past 3 years. It is an exciting debut that all will enjoy.

This year’s performances will be Dedicated in Memory of Kevin J Cancellieri, he was Mrs. Megan Callahan’s big brother, and most ardent fan and supporter who spent 25 years cheering her on through 25 Nutcrackers, Spring Shows, rehearsals and her best critic.  We will be honoring him and his passion for Megan’s School by setting up a Dance scholarship in his honor with partial proceeds from all shows. Danse Arts welcomes friends, family and anyone he touched along his life’s journey to the program.

Tickets and Performance Information:

The NUTCRACKER will be at Southampton High School Theatre on Narrow Lane, Southampton N.Y. on Friday December 6th at 7pm, Saturday December 7th at 5pm and Sunday December 8th at 2pm. Join us after each performance with your children for photographs with some of our Dancers.  On Sunday at 1pm, as a special before the performance treat join Us in welcoming Santa Claus as he greets children and opens the performance.

Ticket pricing: $15.00 for Adults (16 and over), $10.00 for Children (3-16) and Seniors(60+), Toddlers (2 and under) are Free.
