Watch Me!! Dedegumo Turns Timepieces Into Works Of Art!
Dedegumo is a new Japanese watch brand from Kyoto, Japan. The trendy watches are handmade by skilled artisans through intricate techniques and processes. An individual artisan creates each watch from start to finish, allowing them to envision, craft and perfect the timepiece. By creating these one-of-a-kind timepieces, dedegumo aims to unite Kyoto’s traditions with current Japanese design. The name dedegumo is a play on the founders last name and translates to “out of the clouds” which is the inspiration for the logo and intricate designs on some of the watches. The Japanese company opened their first stateside store earlier this year on Manhattan’s Lower East Side and have also been picked up by Bergdorf Goodman and Hirshleifer’s.
KDH likes these watches for a Hamptonista because they are so unique and gutsy. Chic Hamptons girls keep it simple and often wear a white tee shirt and jeans or riding pants around town so it’s always fun to play up a cool new eye-catching accessory. Plus, summer is coming to an end soon and we must retire our white enamel Chanel watch for the season :(
