The luxury waterfront hotel with 49 rooms and 16 private cottages on Shelter Island is celebrating over 60 years of their weekly Wednesday night barbecues this Summer season and are inviting guests from all over to join them. Guests can arrive by car and ferry from the North and South fork or by boat at one of the properties 2 docks; the experience is PURE Americana.
Buffet dinner is served on picnic tables scattered throughout the water-front property’s front lawn. With delectable food, breathtaking scenery and live music it’s no wonder why the weekly Wednesday Barbecues have become a tradition at The Pridwin.
Executive Chef, Todd Quiz, has crafted the buffet menu with something for everyone in the family. American fare from burgers, grilled molasses chicken, smoked prime beef brisket and pulled pork to grilled swordfish, clams and mussels mix with sides like mac & cheese and hearty salads and selections from the raw bar there is something for every taste and age.
The dessert buffet has been created by Executive Pastry Chef, Mary Pisanelli, featuring an entire table showcasing her dessert confections with three kinds of pies and cheesecake sitting next to a tiered silver tray holding her homemade peanut butter sandies, oatmeal raisin cookies, chocolate chip cookies, and brownies and there is always a decadent chocolate cake in the mix.
Not only is the food at the weekly barbecues fantastic, but the view is just as delectable. Recline in a white Adirondack chair while watching the sunset from the lawn of the The Pridwin which overlooks Crescent Beach. Live music, amazing food, and stunning views; Wednesdays at the Pridwin Hotel are the best way to start the second half of the week!
The Pridwin BBQ runs through Wednesday September 4th and is $75 per adult or $35 for kids. There is also a wine and open bar option available.

If you plan on arriving at The Predawn via private boat, the dock is available for boaters on a “first come, first served” basis; BBQ guests can call the dock manager to coordinate. Boaters can also order provisions for their return trip which will be waiting for you when you leave the BBQ!
