Work Eat Play at Ruschmeyer's in Montauk....All Summer Long

Have you heard the latest buzz about Montauk? It’s called WorkEatPlay, a groundbreaking startup that repositions unused spaces in restaurants for daytime co-working.  WorkEatPlay has secured an operating contract for the summer season at Ruschmeyer’s in Montauk. Scheduled to kick off this Memorial Day Weekend, the popular boutique hotel will return to Montauk’s original artistic roots with multi-faceted programming, events and local partnerships positioning them as the go-to creative destination out East. The programming is available to guests of Ruschmeyers, but people can also come sign up for a free trial at WorkEatPlay all weekend long.

Taking a cue from the town’s rich history as a hub for legends including Andy Warhol and Rolling Stones, WorkEatPlay is grooming the property to attract both young professionals and families alike, channeling a collaborative “adult summer camp” vibe. Throughout the season, Ruschmeyer’s will play host to a full-scale events program including a pop up shop series featuring nationally recognized fashion brands, live music, meditation and fitness activations, curated children activities, tastings, and more, during both weekends and weekdays.

With a commitment to support and integrate the Montauk community, Ruschmeyer’s has secured partnerships with local businesses including Montauk Brewing Company as the exclusive beer provider and Air + Speed Surf to design staff uniforms, ensuring that guests experience the area’s creative spirit both on and off the property.

This weekend, Ruschmeyer’s kicks off New York Pilates and box & flow work out classes, followed by refreshments and bites from Indie Fresh. Afternoons are all about fun in the sun – offerings include manicures from New York hotspot Chillhouse on Saturday after the fitness, beach-ready braids from Glam & Go on Sunday.

Need a little intellectual stimulation to balance out the fun? Head over to #HalfTheStory’s conversation on “The Untold Montauk,” at 1pm on Monday, featuring local luminaries, and then party on into the evening the Hamptons way with music and ambiance from local favorites Revel in Dimes and The Sturdy Souls, with a late night DJ sponsored by Billboard Dance.
